Writing book 3 - desert headscarfs
It has been a while since my last post. My focus has been on outlining and writing book three, which I have titled Prophet's Legacy. This third book and (hopefully) final book of the series has four viewpoints, and takes place at four corners of the Desert Rising universe. So much research needs to be done. Kadar is sent off with the Bedu nomads in the desert, and I am learning much about nomadic existent through the ages. Surviving in the desert is not an easy task. YouTube is a great resource for the simple things anyone traveling through the desert should know. I have to be careful not to get too lost in research because it is something I love to do and can waste lots of time with the non-essentials. Here is one of those fun but non-essential elements: how to tie a scarf into a turban.
I am a writer, with a three book contract with HarperCollins Voyager Impulse for my Desert Rising Fantasy novel series. I also teach yoga and give yoga workshops and sing kirtan with my husband, Brian.
